LOGISTICS, TECHNOLOGY, AND THE FUTURE OF WORK: A CONFERENCE FOR CHANGE

On May 9, 2025, Teatro Verdi in Castel San Giovanni hosted the Logistics. Technology, Innovation, Work conference, bringing together experts, institutions, academics, and entrepreneurs to discuss the ongoing transformations in the logistics sector. The event explored crucial topics such as digitalization, sustainability, technological innovation, and the need for new skills.

In this context, Marco Facchinetti, professor at the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies at the Politecnico di Milano and founder of The Blossom Avenue, emphasized the importance of a mindset shift within the sector.

He stated, "For us, the main cost today is time: the use of logistics is still not recognized in a sufficiently unified way, and this leads us to lose not only money but, most importantly, precious time. A change of mindset is needed."

This reflection highlights the need for an integrated, strategic approach to logistics that can overcome fragmentation and inefficiencies. The conference provided an important platform for dialogue and networking among industry professionals, contributing to the development of future perspectives for a more efficient, sustainable, and human-centered logistics sector.
